New California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), eff 1/1/23

Hello!Since your business is located in the State of California, we wanted to give you an overview of the new CPRA (California Privacy Act) eff 1/1/23.Overview:The CPRA is the strongest consumer privacy law ever enacted in the United States. CPRA builds on existing California law passed in 2018 (the California Consumer Privacy Act or CCPA). The CPRA applies to your organization if you have employees or even one employee in California and if your company made over $25 million in revenue globally in the previous calendar year.The action items for your business that we will prepare for you:1.Update your privacy notice 2.Update your privacy policy on your website3.Controllers need to conduct a data protection assessment (DPA) for processing activities that present a heightened risk of harm to a consumer.We will need to include the following verbiage:
Inform users about how you handle their data
Consumer rights
Include opt-in/opt-out, and do not sell or share verbiage
